Tomorrow will be three weeks since I walked into the lawyer’s office and learned of our little girl, who will be known as “Little Bug” on this blog. I just do not feel comfortable putting her name on an unprotected internet website.

I certainly wish this world was a safer place because I really want to announce her name on this blog because of the meaning behind the names we chose.

Little Bug is named after a family member of mine who walked the road of infertility many years ago. They were never able to have any children so Dave and I want their legacy to live on through our little girl.

We told them her name via Skype on Monday night. It was a very special moment to reveal this name we’ve been keeping secret for 2 years!

We chose “Little Bug” as her nickname for this blog because for some reason Dave and I call each other “Bug”. I have no idea when or why we started calling each other that, but neither of us are sappy romantics in the sense that we would want to call each other “Babe” or something like that, so maybe that is how “Bug” came to be. :)

Little Bug is due June 14th, however we have reason to believe she may come earlier and we are just fine with that! Even though I am not pregnant, I just had to put that ticker on the blog to countdown to the due date since it is so near!
