Painting Little Bug’s Nursery (& something else that gives me goosebumps)

May 22, 2009

Last week we (Dave, Amanda and me) painted Little Bug’s Nursery!

When the three of us get together there is always fun to be had.

This time was no exception… :)

Not long into the painting process, Amanda had an itch near her eye. She scratched and then said, “Aw. Do I have paint on my face now?” We said, “Yep, you do.” and snapped a picture …

Amanda did the lower walls …

Dave did the higher parts of the walls …

Puppy couldn’t understand why she wasn’t allowed into the room …

and I did the trim.

Well … not all of the trim. Dave did the trim in high places on his broken paper shredder turned stepping stool!

Amanda felt sorry for Pup and held her so she could be with us.

In no time, the job was done and it looks fabulous! The pink wall is the wall the crib goes on. The letters of Little Bug’s name will hang over her crib on the pink wall. All other walls are green. (Thank you, Maria, for this wonderful painting idea!!!)

Click on the “Faith Blanket” link if you haven’t already and be amazed!

That link takes you to a post my Mama wrote on her blog on September 13, 2008. She talks about a dream she had during my third IUI and how she felt that the dream was God’s way of telling her there will be a baby IN HIS TIME.

It was during the time of my third IUI and when my Mama started knitting The Faith Blanket that Little Bug was conceived!

It never ceases to amaze me how incredible this journey has been, especially when I go back and read things written about the time Little Bug was conceived.

GOD IS ALWAYS AT WORK!
