attacks from the enemy

I think we all too often underestimate the affect Satan has on our lives.
If you are living a life of service to the Lord and your main goal is to bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ in your everyday living or through a trial you are right now walking through, Satan will attack you.
He seeks people that fall into that category because it is his desire that Christ receive no glory.
So, how does Satan attack us?
Well, I will share how he personally has attacked me over the past three months of Little Bug’s life.
Satan does not like Little Bug – at all. She represents so much that Satan hates.
Little Bug represents perseverance in the midst of one of life’s toughest trials, waiting on the Lord, trusting in God’s perfect plan, clinging to the Word of God for strength and power in weakness and unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ – all of which Satan detests.
Satan comes to seek out that which he can steal, kill and destroy. All of the above speak life, abundant life found in Jesus Christ.
Satan uses any little thing he can to gain a stronghold in our lives. He is sneaky and subtle in his ways.
I’ve shared on here that I am a very organized, detail oriented, planner type person. I like things to have order and I thrive on routine. I am the type of person that goes through the closets often because I don’t like things to get unorganized and I don’t like clutter to accumulate.
Well, take care of a newborn for just 24 hours and you will know that there is nothing orderly about a newborn. They eat at all hours of the day and night. They cry when all seems well in their little world. They poop and puke at the most inopportune times. And a routine? You can pretty much forget that with a newborn!
Satan used my orderly personality to make me very frustrated at times at the very beginning. He used it to make me feel so out of control of things and like a failure as a mother.
During one such occasion, when I was feeling very much like a failure, it dawned on me that all this was just an attack from Satan!
Satan did want me concentrating on the miracle of Little Bug and writing blogs about that for the world to read. He wanted me focused on feeling like my life is out of control in constant chaos!
It was at that time that I realized in order for Satan to not receive victory, I had to just let it go.
If my house isn’t spotless … oh well.
If Little Bug doesn’t eat or sleep when I think she should be … oh well.
I’ve consciously made myself have more of a “go with the flow” attitude about everything in life and not allow myself to get so uptight if something doesn’t go the way I think it should.
We have to stand guard against Satan. We have to take time to sit and think about what Satan uses in our life to gain a stronghold in our life. We must consciously not allow him access.
And then, when you don’t allow Satan and reign in your life, God receives even more glory.
But beware … Satan will have even more reason to try and attack you.
