my how you have grown!

Here is Little Bug at 8 days old weighing 5lbs. 9oz!
And here is Little Bug at 4 months old weighing …
12 pounds 5 ounces!
My how you have grown, Little Bug!
Little Bug got very good reports on everything at her 4 month check up!
She was such a hoot when the nurse was checking her out! She started “talking” away at her. Then, when it was time to lay down on the table for the nurse to check her head control, Little Bug thought that would be a great opportunity to show off her new trick of rolling from tummy to back!
The nurse told me she is a beautiful, healthy little girl and I couldn’t agree more.
I was advised to hold off on giving Little Bug solids until she is 6 months old, or very near that age. The nurse said when solids are started before a baby’s system is really ready for them, they tend to get constipated and have other unpleasant issues.
However she did say that if I felt Little Bug was ready and needing something a little extra to go in her tummy, I could start some solids. The closer Little Bug is to 6 months of age, the better.
I like how the nurse told me what is best but then told me to ultimately go with, yep … motherly instinct. :)
