So happy to be back in the mountains!

It was a gorgeous day to be on the mountaintop!

Although the trees are not in the peak of fall, they were still beautiful!

Little Bug was an excellent traveler!

I feared two different scenarios. One being that Little Bug would cry the whole way since she has recently not enjoyed being put in the car seat. The other being that she would sleep the entire way up and then not sleep that night.

Well, she did neither! She cat napped several times with the average cat nap lasting 30 minutes and then she would play with her feet, talk to Mommy or play with her toys! She cried maybe 5 minutes the entire road trip to the mountains and back … and that was because she either was hungry or had a dirty diaper!

We had a wonderful time in the mountains. The weather was cool every day. It rained a lot so we stayed in the cabin most days and would leave to go to lunch or dinner. I did a lot of reading and working on my scrapbook of Little Bug!

We sure did miss Dave though! He survived. He had a huge deadline this week and was at work until late most every night so that helped him get through the week of us not being here.

This morning it is actually cool here at home and feels like fall! I’ve got the windows open and have been doing laundry.

Little Bug was so adorable this morning. Her daddy got her up and fed her breakfast and then they came into the bedroom where I was folding laundry. Little Bug lay on our bed just kicking those legs and looking from her Mommy to Daddy. I think she is glad to have gone to the mountains with Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa but she is now glad to be home with her Daddy too!

There is just no place on earth like the mountains. But I’m glad I don’t live there because then I wouldn’t have a place like that to look forward to going to every summer and fall!

Next time we are there Little Bug will most likely be walking all over the place!!
