November & December

Nov 03, 2009

November and December are two of my most favorite months of the year because of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This year will be extra special for obvious reasons … a little blue eyed, blonde hair smiling baby girl who, this time last year, was only a dream.

Last November, I was facing surgery to remove endometriosis and last December we were praying for a Christmas Miracle.

There is nothing better than looking back at time and remembering the faithful hand of God at work, always at work, even during the darkest hour.

I can remember thinking as the year 2008 came to a close and a new year began that God was going to do something amazing.

I thought that because all my endometriosis had been taken out, we would FINALLY be able to achieve pregnancy through IVF. My doctor was pretty hopeful too.

I remember that IVF consult meeting like it was yesterday. But actually it was February 12, 2009.

Little did I know that in 104 days from that very IVF consult meeting, I would be standing in the delivery room watching my daughter’s first moments of life.

It’s simply amazing how life unfolds when you allow God to direct your path. He took me to places I never could have navigated on my own and found!

But I am here and I am so incredibly thankful.
