Travel with a Baby

Dec 30, 2009

Little Bug is about to embark on her fourth trip!

All other trips have been by car. This trip will be by plane!

Sunday morning, VERY early, Little Bug, my mother, my brother and me are flying to Texas! (My dad and Dave are staying behind because of work.)

We will be there for eight days. My cousin is getting married on January 9th. Most of my mom’s side of the family will meet Little Bug for the first time – except Mimaw and Papaw who met her this summer!

Little Bug has proven to be a good little traveler by car. Since she won’t have to be in her car seat on the airplane, and it is only about a 2.5 hour flight, I am hoping Little Bug is a good little flyer as well!

I am hoping she will eat once we board the flight and then go so sleep after having to wake up so early to get to the airport.

I am taking some small new toys that Little Bug has never seen before to hopefully occupy her time should she decide being awake is better than sleeping on the airplane. (Which is a very real possibility since Little Bug is a very curious little girl, especially in new surroundings!)

Anyways, packing for Little Bug has always been a challenge because it’s hard to get in her room to pack when she is sleeping and when she is awake, well, packing isn’t exactly her idea of fun.

But this time I got smart!!

When Little Bug woke from her nap, I went in to her room with a laundry basket …

… and threw everything in that she will need for the trip!

Now, it’s out of her room and I can pack it all up while she is napping!
