I Did It

***Baby Sunshine***

Just wanted to say I don’t have anything to update about Baby Sunshine…so just keep praying!

I put Little Bug in the church nursery for the first time last Sunday.

Since birth, I’ve just kept her with me in the service because it really was no big deal for her to be in there if she was just going to eat, sleep or play quietly with a toy on my lap.

Well, now that she is approaching 8 months old I was finding myself having to leave with her most every week once Pastor Paul started to preach.

And I knew the time had come.

It was time for Little Bug to go to the church nursery. My baby girl is growing up.

I was also keeping her out of the nursery because of flu season. If at all possible, I didn’t want her getting sick for her first Christmas or for our trip out to Texas.

Another reason I knew this past Sunday was it! Christmas is past and we are home from Texas.

So she went and, as she normally does when I am nervous about something concerning her, did absolutely fabulous.

As Little Bug gets older and older I am learning that I have a VERY social girl on my hands!

When we walked into the nursery room, I sat Little Bug on the floor with 2 other baby girls. She was so interested in the girls. I had told the nursery worker that if she got sleepy to try putting her in the swing. Well, apparently Little Bug was too curious about her new surroundings to want sleep!

She made up for it that night though by taking a two hour and fifteen minute nap from 5-7:15pm. Her Daddy woke her at 7:15pm so she’d go to bed at a decent hour that night.

It’s a good thing I’ve had Grace in my life all these years because I think Little Bug will be very similar to her as she grows up! Talking non-stop, asking millions of “why?” questions, never meeting a stranger and being a bubble of joyous energy wherever she goes. :)
