Baby Sunshine:

There will be a meeting between birth parents, foster parents and social workers to get the ball rolling on the TPR (termination of parental rights) on February 24th.

Please continue to pray for God’s Will to be accomplished in the life of this precious child.

Uncle David:

My uncle has made much progress since his aneurysm on January 29th, but he still has a very long road ahead of him.

He is becoming more and more alert. The other day the nurses worked to get him sitting on the side of his bed.

He is still in ICU because he still has the shunt in his brain. If he cannot get along without the shunt a permanent shunt will be placed in his brain.

For some time now, Uncle David has been repeating this prayer over and over. Apparently after an aneurysm a patient’s brain can get “stuck” and him repeating this prayer is evidence of that. My aunt was told by the doctors to encourage him to talk about other things when he starts repeating the prayer.

One day the nurse asked my uncle if he wanted to watch “The Office”. His reply was, “I would like to watch ‘The Office’ sometime.” My uncle loves to watch “The Office”!

Like I said, he still has a long road ahead, but to have made it this far is a miracle in and of itself.

Please continue to pray that each day is one more step to a full recovery.
