Sick Little Bug :(
Apr 18, 2010
I know I’m in the middle of Q&A posts but I had to stop and ask for you to please pray for Little Bug.
April 6th Little Bug woke up with a snotty nose. It was just the common cold up until around Thursday of last week. She developed a horrible cough.
On Friday she woke up and with every breath I could hear rattling in her chest until she had a major coughing fit. I call the pediatrician and told them what was going on and they wanted me to bring her in.
We left with a nebulizer machine and we are to give Little Bug breathing treatments 4 times a day.
We are going on Day 12 of sickness and I just want my Little Bug to start feeling better! Her temp was 102 this morning and she still has that awful cough. We are to do the nebulizer treatments and bring her back to the doctor again early this week.
She has started throwing up when drinking her bottles because she starts coughing and then pukes. It is SO SAD. I hate seeing her like this.
Please pray for Little Bug. Pray all this gunk will loosen and go away.
The most irritating thing is that I know Little Bug picked this bug up from the church nursery. Why not taking your SICK kid to church nursery is such a hard concept for some parents, I have no clue. Because then, well babies (like Little Bug) go to church and end up sick for 2 weeks and counting. And then their parents get sick. (Dave caught it from Little Bug.) Call me a heathen, but it honestly makes going to church for two hours and then the family being sick for 2+ weeks just not worth it! Before you think I’m quitting church (because that is obviously not an option! :) ), I am just frustrated and don’t know what to do about church nursery. Little Bug is at the age where I can’t always keep her with me because she is a distraction and wants to preach along with the preacher or crawl down the isles! If I walk out with her, I miss church and end up walking the grounds with her until service is over. What’s the point of that? If I take her to the nursery she ends up SICK with some nasty bug and I feel horrible because I took her to a germ invested environment so I could go somewhere she couldn’t go and now she must suffer with feeling awful and hacking up her lungs everyday. Ok – end of rant. How’s that for a REAL LIFE post?!
ARG!
