It has been fun for me to watch Dave as a Daddy this past year. From the start he jumped right in with taking care of Little Bug. Over the past few months, as Little Bug has become more and more her own little person with her own little personality, Dave’s love for her has only grown and deepened. I will make comments like, “Don’t you miss that little 5 pound baby we brought home from the hospital?” And he will say, “No! We still have her and she is so much more FUN now because she interacts with us and makes us laugh every single day!”

I am forever grateful that my Heavenly Father blessed me with an earthly father who demonstrates God’s love for me in the way he loves me as his daughter.

I love to watch my Daddy with my little girl. Little Bug has a special place in his heart. He always takes Little Bug outside to see his garden. Little Bug comes back inside with a leaf or a flower that Grandpa let her pick. My dad and mom were shopping one day and my dad found a shirt that says, “Grandpa’s Sweetheart”. He also found a pair of jean shorts that had zoo animals on them. He just had to buy them for Little Bug! I am glad they share such a special relationship.

Today is also a special day for another reason!

It’s my second birthday as a Mama!

Today I am 29 years old. (Not so sure how I feel being one year away from 30!)

I don’t think anything can beat my 28th birthday. My dream had come true! I was both a wife and a mother. It was one of the best days of my life so far! I don’t remember a thing I received for my 28th birthday. All I could think about was that precious baby girl you see poking out of that sling.
