Entertaining a 16 month old in the car for 8+ hours calls for some creativity.

I always pack a bag full of toys for Little Bug to play with, but I’ve found sometimes all Little Bug needs to keep her happy is something simple and something that does not take up hardly any space in the car:

a baby wipe!!

Give Little Bug a baby wipe and she will spend time cleaning her feet,

playing peek-a-boo,

and tearing the wipe into tiny little pieces!

When the wipe is gone Little Bug will

play with the carseat strap until

she falls asleep holding Grandma’s hand.

But sometimes 8+ hours in the car is just too much for a 16 month old to handle

and a meltdown ensues.

So

we make a phone call to Dada!

And

that brightens Little Bug’s day!
