Christmas Day

Dec 30, 2010

We started Christmas Day with my parents, brother, aunt, uncle and grandmother coming over to my house for a pancake breakfast!

My brother, Wesley, is the chef. He makes some delicious pancakes and leaves a royal mess behind. Smile

We sang several Christmas Carols as Wesley played the guitar.

We read the Christmas Story.

And then we opened presents.

<p align="center">We stuck to our three gift rule. I never want to lose the true meaning of Christmas with Little Bug. We believe by only giving three gifts at Christmas we can keep the focus on Baby Jesus and not getting gifts.</p> <p align="center">This year Little Bug really had no idea about gifts and really didn’t care about opening presents. She was more interested in walking around the living room and looking at what other people were getting. A few times she tried to run off with a present that wasn’t hers! </p> <p align="center">I think Little Bug was just eating up the fact that she had so many of her family members in one place at one time. This girl LOVES her family.</p> <p align="center">She did enjoy her puppy dog toy and had fun pulling it behind her.</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7261.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7261" border="0" alt="DSCN7261" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7261_thumb.jpg" width="304" height="288" /></a></p> <p align="center">The only picture I got of her with the puppy toy is blurry.</p> <p align="center">Around lunch time Dave, Little Bug and I headed to Dave’s parents’ house. We exchanged gifts and then my family also joined us there for our big family Christmas Dinner together!</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7290.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7290" border="0" alt="DSCN7290" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7290_thumb.jpg" width="354" height="293" /></a></p> <p align="center">Grandma helped Little Bug open her ball popper toy! </p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7293.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7293" border="0" alt="DSCN7293" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7293_thumb.jpg" width="354" height="331" /></a></p> <p align="center">Aunt Amanda gave Little Bug this toy and it was a hit…literally!</p> <p align="center">It comes with 4 balls and a hammer and you hammer the balls through holes at the top, they spiral down the maze and come out at the bottom. Once we taught Little Bug what to do with the hammer, she went to town and played with that toy until it was naptime!</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7295.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7295" border="0" alt="DSCN7295" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7295_thumb.jpg" width="304" height="391" /></a></p> <p align="center">Aunt Amanda also got Little Bug this monkey! Is it not the cutest stuffed animal toy you’ve ever seen?!?</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7296.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7296" border="0" alt="DSCN7296" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7296_thumb.jpg" width="504" height="200" /></a></p> <p align="center">While Little Bug napped, we played Phase 10 Twist. Lots of fun!</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7305.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN7305" border="0" alt="DSCN7305" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2010/12/DSCN7305_thumb.jpg" width="370" height="451" /></a></p> <p align="center">It was a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ! </p> <p align="center">I am so thankful for families that get along and love spending the holidays together!</p> <p align="center">And I am so incredibly thankful for a certain little girl who serves as a reminder that God is a God of miracles and perfect plans.</p> <p align="center">He sent His son to the world as a baby to live here on earth and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life if we put our trust in Him. And He blessed my life by sending me the most precious daughter ever through the miracle of adoption. </p>
