And oh does she speak!

More and more everyday! Here is the latest:

Little Bug was eating her breakfast. I had finished mine so I was at the sink washing dishes. I asked Little Bug, “Are you all done?” She answered, “No, two more bites!” Sure enough, she had 2 more bites of waffle left on her plate!

Then…

That same day we were at my mom’s for lunch. My mom was feeding Little Bug and asked her, “Little Bug, are you all done?” And Little Bug said, “No, four more bites!” Wouldn’t you know, she had four pieces of cantaloupe left on her plate!

Little Bug has reached a new height in messiness when eating. We’ve started trying to get her to eat with a fork or spoon and it just makes a grand mess.

She was eating lunch and she apparently accidentally bit her thumb when she was putting in a bite. She started to whine about it so I gave her some sympathy and asked her, “Awww. Did you bite your thumb?” She looked up at me with her big, blue eyes, held out her thumb which was covered in food from eating and said, “Kiss thumb!” Needless to say I couldn’t resist and gave her messy little thumb a (quick) kiss!

My mom kept the blocks that my brother and I used to play with for her grandchildren to one day play with. The box is tattered and torn from many years of use! Little Bug got the box of blocks out to play and dumped the blocks onto the floor. Then she held up the box and proclaimed, “Yuck, Yuck, trash!” She thought the box had seen better days (and it has) and needed to go into the garbage!

I ran into the grocery store while Dave and Amanda (Dave’s sister) stayed in the car with Little Bug. Dave and Amanda were talking when they suddenly heard Little Bug just laughing away in the backseat in her car seat. Then she said, “Funny Mommy!” and started another fit of laughter! I guess she was thinking about something that I had said or done that was funny to her!
