It was here that I was finally there.

After yesterday’s post, I think this picture sums it all up.
Whole, complete love wrapped up in a tiny five pound bundle of pure joy.
It was here that I was finally there.
June 3rd, 2009 – the day we brought Little Bug home from the hospital – all the stress of an adoption process was forgotten.
Much like labor pains are forgotten once that baby is laid on mom’s chest, I would imagine.
In this moment, as I sat in the Faith Rocking Chair holding my daughter wrapped in the Faith Blanket, it all became clear.
In a plan masterminded by the creator of the universe, a woman who so desperately had cried out to God to put life in her womb, was given the most incredible blessing through the miracle of adoption.
My womb was still as barren as the Sahara desert, but on this day, my heart was overflowing with awe for a God who takes ashes and makes beauty, a God who turns mourning into dancing and a God who is faithful no matter the circumstances.
God did this!!
And you know what?
He’s going to do it again.
