Dave participated in a “Mud Run”! He and his team went through a 10K course of obstacles that had them wading through mud holes that were chest deep, climbing over walls and army crawling through mud, which is why, at the finish line, they were completely covered in mud from head to toe!

I couldn’t believe that Dave was that dirty! Mud was caked on every inch of his body!

Do you see his wedding ring in this picture?! Yes, he wore it. He realized he should have taken it off during the first obstacle when he was chest deep in mud. He said he clinched his fist the entire time he was submerged in mud and water!

I couldn’t believe the wedding ring was still on his finger after all that and not lost somewhere in a mud pit.

That is a perfect picture of our marriage though. When the tough times come, instead of falling apart, we hold tight and push through the hard times together, allowing God to strengthen our marriage and our commitments to each other.

Little Bug didn’t know what to think of her Daddy! She was a little hesitant to get anywhere near him!
