First Bath!
Aug 13, 2011
I decided today was a good day for Sweet Pea’s first bath!
Actually, I have no idea if it was officially her first bath since I was not with her during her first 48+ hours after birth. So, I just consider this her first bath anyway.
As you can see, she was not a fan. Her belly button has not fallen off yet so she could not be submerged in water. Poor little thing.
Is that ducky thing not the coolest?! When I laid that on top of her, wet with warm water, she calmed down.
Day 2 and Big Sister is still totally into Little Sister. Little Bug would have gladly given Sweet Pea her bath “all by myself” had we let her.
I was only away from Little Bug a week (with two visits) but it is unbelievable how much Little Bug grew up just in this week. Or maybe having a newborn just makes my 2 year old seem very grown up. I don’t know, but I do know that Little Bug has suddenly become much more independent. Perhaps that is just part of turning 2!
We made bath time quick!
<p align="center">After Sweet Pea was all swaddled up again, she opened her eyes for the first time since we came home and lay awake for about 20 minutes before conking out again. </p> <p align="center">For the first time, I had a hard time getting her feeding in her at 2pm. All she wanted to do was sleep because bath time wore her out!</p> <p align="center"><a href="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2011/08/DSCN0976.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSCN0976" border="0" alt="DSCN0976" src="/1DB25B0C4C9C4FF725BBC44D009EECCD22E13F05/images/2011/08/DSCN0976_thumb.jpg" width="379" height="285" /></a></p> <p align="center">Still frowning about bath time but so calm because she is swaddled in her MIRACLE BLANKET!!</p> <p align="center">I really do not know why I bothered to even pull out the newborn clothes. Sweet Pea lives in her Miracle Blankets. </p> <p align="center">I didn’t discover the Miracle Blanket until Little Bug was about 6 weeks old. I said with #2 I would start using the Miracle Blanket from day one, and I have. </p> <p align="center">There is nothing quite like a Miracle Blanket swaddle.</p> <p align="center">At just 11 days old, Sweet Pea already agrees!</p>
