Playtime…with two

This is what a 2 year old looks like swaddled in a Miracle Blanket!

It was just a walk down Memory Lane for Little Bug because she slept with the Miracle Blanket wrapped around her for the first year of her life!

She walked over to her kitchen and said, “I can’t open the door!!”

Someone else had a little playtime tonight!

Does Sweet Pea not look like a real baby here? As in…one that interacts with the world and plays and kicks her feet? I looked over at her and she was just moving her arms and kicking her feet like crazy. It was a beautiful site because, for the first time, she seemed like everything is okay. (Seemed is the key word. Everything is not okay, but moments like these give me hope that one day she will be a “normal” baby.)

I then put her on the floor for her first “tummy time”! What a precious little baby. Look at that smile. She stayed like this for a good long while. She even picked her head up and turned to face the other way.

Big sister joined her for tummy time! I was going to crop my toes out completely at the bottom of this picture. Then I decided to crop just enough to show just how much longer my second toe is than the big toe. Certain friends will get a kick out of this. (Your welcome for the laugh, Kelly!) I have been harassed all my life about this. It’s genetic. My grandma, dad and I all have identical toes.

And if you are wondering if Sweet Pea is ever dressed in anything other than a diaper and bib the answer is NO! Why make more laundry for myself, especially when she spends so much time wrapped up in the Miracle Blanket anyway? I do dress her when we leave the house. Smile

Which means, very soon, she will be getting dressed more and more because she turns SIX WEEKS OLD on Tuesday!

No more hibernation from the real word (and germs!), although, I am a huge germophobe when it comes to my kids, so I will still be extra cautious…especially with flu season just around the corner.

But, I cannot wait for playdates and some sense of “normal” returning!!
