30 Days of Thankfulness {Days 5-11}
Nov 11, 2011
Day 5: I'm thankful for lazy Saturdays with my family...sleeping in (thanks to my wonderful hubby, Dave), playing/reading with my girls, naptime and then a trip to [where my in-laws live].
Day 6: I am thankful that Wesley is going to be able to be home for a couple days around Thanksgiving!!
Day 7: I am thankful that I am able to be at home with my girls. There is no other job I'd rather have.
Day 8: I am thankful for friends. If riches were measured in friendships I'd be one the richest in the world. I have friends from childhood who have grown up with me and have "done life" with me. I have close friends from every stage of my life. And most recently, God has blessed me with new friends that are also adoptive mothers. I am thankful for each and every friendship and how each has blessed and enhanced my life tremendously.
Day 9: Today I am thankful for adoption and that, in the eyes of the court, Sweet Pea is now officially and forever our daughter. Adoption is such a beautiful picture of God's love for His children. I am thankful God's Plan included growing our family through the miracle of adoption.
Day 10: I am thankful for my childhood. When I think of my "growing up years" I only have very fond memories. I am thankful God placed me in the Anderson family and that He gave me parents who trained me in the ways of the Lord. I am thankful for the childhood memories I carry with me.
Day 11: I’m thankful for all the servicemen and women who sacrifice so much for my freedom.
