234 baby food jars for…
Feb 08, 2012
$37.44!!!
I was contemplating making baby food for Sweet Pea but then my good friend told me about a deal on Beech Nut Stage 2 baby food jars.
Publix had Beech Nut Stage 2 jars buy one, get one free. Then, I printed off coupons, which made the deal even better!
I ended up paying only $0.16 per jar! (Regular price is $0.55/jar.)
So that means instead of paying $128.70 for 234 jars I only paid $37.44!!
71% savings!!!
I made three separate trips (your welcome people standing behind me in line and cashiers!). I was a little nervous first trip, I must admit. I am not a “couponer”. I had one person roll her eyes behind me in the line (with ‘only’ 78 jars in the cart!) and another shopper whizzed by me on the baby isle while looking in my cart and said, “Triplets??!”. No, just a BOGO deal with coupons, that’s all.
Last night we laid them all out on the kitchen floor to sort and organize! We got it all into one storage bin (veggies) and then two paper grocery bags (fruits). I have a piece of paper in each reminding me what is in there.
This baby is set!!
And…just in time!!
Sweet Pea is starting solids today after her 11:30am bottle!
I love how God has provided for us. I was literally days before thinking that it is time to start solids with Sweet Pea and baby food jars are expensive! I wasn’t too excited about making baby food and then, God provides all this food for Sweet Pea.
AND…
Sweet Pea had her 6 month check up yesterday. In about 2 weeks (once she has been on solids for at least a couple weeks) we are going to start the weaning process of the ready made formula to powder formula.
We had run out of coupons/checks for formula when, just this week, another good friend of mine said she had TEN checks and wondered if we could use them!
