A Plan
Apr 10, 2012
Thanks to one of my faithful blog readers, Meg, I have a plan of action for today.
I was feeling so discouraged this morning. Sweet Pea is still having diarrhea and her rash is still bad and causing her much pain.
Then I read the comment from Meg on my previous post and immediately I knew God had given me a plan!
I’ve put in a call to the pediatrician asking about getting Sweet Pea some blood work to determine if this is viral or a reaction to the powder formula.
In this case, I just feel it is better to be proactive about this and get some definite answers as to what is going on.
I don’t want to put Sweet Pea back on 1/3 ready-made formula to 2/3 powder formula a couple weeks from now just to repeat what is happening now if she is indeed reacting to the powder formula!
If the blood work comes back revealing a virus I can confidently know she can handle the powder formula. But if there is no indication of a virus, I will immediately take her off powder formula completely and she will be on ready-made until we wean her from formula at 12 months.
The nurse from the doctor office has called me back and will be talking to the doctor who will hopefully call me back at lunch today. (She is apparently in meetings today.)
I hate the thought of blood work for Sweet Pea (remember what happened when she was around 2 weeks old) but hopefully one prick and we can get answers without having to go through days and days of pain caused from diarrhea and a horrible rash.
Please pray that if this blood work is my answer to knowing what is going on, God will pave the way to get it done and the pedi will be on board.
