May 20th is a special day for my family.

My grandparents were married on May 20th, 1952. This year would have been their 60th wedding anniversary had my grandfather still been on this earth. (He was called home to heaven on June 6th, 1986.)

May 20th is our wedding anniversary, too. We chose that date because it was my grandparents’ anniversary! (If you are wondering where I’ve been…we escaped “real life” for four days to celebrate our 5th anniversary. More on that in the near future.)

And now…

… May 20th, 2012, is the birth date of the first great-grandson, Nathan Michael, who was born to my cousin, Jonathan and his beautiful wife, Erin!

Another interesting observation is that of the first four grandchildren (there are 7 of us in all), three of the four of us were born in June.

And the fourth grandchild missed being born in June by only 7 days, but…her husband has a June birthday!

And now, with this next generation, two of the three great-grandchildren (Little Bug and Nathan) have May birthdays!
