O Week!
Jul 13, 2012
Little Bug made an owl from the letter O.
We put yellow and red paint into a ziplock baggie.
Little Bug squished the bag to mix the two colors.
Little Bug learned red and yellow make orange!
Little played the Octopus Counting Game. She drew a number from a pile and then placed the correct number of octopus on the picture.
Little Bug played the Octopus Size Sort game.
I saw this cute idea on Pinterest but we didn’t have any hotdogs. When there were hotdogs on the 4th, I decided to make an octopus for Little Bug! This was a skinny hotdog so I couldn’t cut the 8 octopus legs. Little Bug still thought it was cool.
Little Bug worked on some Ocean Coloring/Word Cards. We talked about the ocean creatures and then matched the printed word to the picture. I had her figure out what the words spelled by looking at the first letter of the word.
Ocean and Memory Match Up. There were ocean creatures/objects and she categorized (matched) them. We also could have played a Memory game with these cards.
Little Bug loves to color with markers so on this day during O Week she colored on an orange sheet of paper.
We made a handprint octopus!
