She didn’t do it: Naptime Edition

Aug 05, 2012

Are we surprised?!

After her Daddy put her back in her big girl bed three times (she was up having a party with her toys), he put her back into the crib where she finally fell asleep for about 1.5 hours before we woke her up.

She was not a happy camper about being woken up.

And she was definitely not a happy camper about missing out on her “milk time” after nap.

She cried buckets, we talked about Adam and Eve and how they disobeyed God and their consequence was they had to leave the garden and then we talked about how she disobeyed and her consequence was having to go back in her crib and not having milk time after nap. (You may recall we did this when she started climbing out of her crib to play a few months ago.)

Hopefully one time is all it is going to take, just like last time.

She’s going back in the big girl bed tonight and for nap tomorrow.

I was actually totally expecting this because, well, my girl has to test her boundaries.

And that is okay because we will be right there to teach and correct and enforce her “Sleep Time Rules” until she decides these rules DO apply to her!

Oh, this girl!

What am I going to do with her?

Like I always say (and she now says to me when I ask her that question), I’m going to love her forever.
