Meet the Partykas!
Aug 07, 2012
One of the many things I love about adoption is the new friends God has blessed me with on this journey.
Meet the Partykas!!
Chris, Denise, Anna and Andrew
This is their story:
The Partykas desired to add another child to their family many years ago. After much heartache of trying to add another biological child to their family, the Partykas felt lead to open their hearts to adoption!
I love this common thread through many who walk this road: You start the process of adoption and then you wait. And wait some more. A possible situation arises and hopes go up only to come dashing down when that situation doesn’t come through. Then you wait some more. And then…all of a sudden, life changes in the blink of an eye.
For the Partykas life changed with a phone call Chris received on July 10th. A friend call him up and explained that a friend of his, Grace, was trying to help a woman named Charity find a family to place her baby with.
Later that same day, Grace called Chris and explained more of Charity’s situation and her reasons for wanting to place her baby for adoption. Chris updated their family’s adoption profile and had the profile mailed to Ohio, which is where Charity lives.
Charity received the profile on July 26 and five days later the Partykas learned that Charity had chosen to place her baby boy with them!
You can read this beautiful story here from the perspective of Chris.
The baby is due September 16th, which is less than six weeks away.
Since this baby has come to them through an avenue they were not expecting (not through the Adoption Ministry they were expecting but through a mutual friend that lives out of state), they have nearly 16K they need to raise before they can bring this baby home from Ohio.
There is another common thread among those who are walking the adoption journey. The financial needs are just so great and so daunting.
Would you be willing to donate to their adoption?
Chris has set up an Adoption Account and you can donate by clicking here.
I know I “stepped on some toes” the last time I wrote a post about something like this, and I will do it again because it is something I feel strongly about and this is my blog.
If a lot of people give even just a small amount each, it will add up to something BIG!
I just simply ask that if you feel God leading you to give, PLEASE click on that link above and help the Partykas!!
I know we cannot all give every time someone asks us to give, but there are some instances where we CAN give and if you feel that tug on your heart from the Lord to give to this sweet family, all I ask is that you follow through with that and give what the Lord is asking of you.
Also, notice the new “social media” links on the bottom of every post! This would be an excellent post to share, because even if you don’t feel called to give, maybe someone you know would!
THANK YOU!!
