From the Partyka’s blog this morning (August 20th):

Last night we received word that our birth mother Charity was going into labor. Around 5 am the baby was born. Currently our heads are spinning with the early arrival and we are working furiously to pack our bags and tie up loose ends. Please pray for Charity as she faces an incredibly difficult few days and ourselves as we head up to Ohio. We pray for wisdom on our part as we deal with all the legal hoops we now need to jump through. Most of all we pray that Christ's name be glorified in our adoption.

I know what the next few days are going to be like…

Lots of praying, hoping and taking the days moment by moment.

PLEASE lift up in prayer Charity, Chris, Denise, Anna and Andrew over the next few days.

As details become available to me, I will share with you.

Monday afternoon (8/20) update:

Baby Boy Stats: born at 5:12 AM Monday, 6 lb 10 oz, 18.7 inches, and in perfect health!

Photos and the name will not be posted until paperwork is finalized, Lord-willing, on Wednesday.

Please pray for Chris and Denise as they are now on their way to Ohio. You can pray specifically for Charity, and for some paper-work related tasks that need to be done QUICKLY. Pray for favor among men as the adoption agency and the Partyka's work to contact various other agencies who have paperwork that is necessary for the adoption to be finalized.

Thanks again for ALL of the love, support, and prayers! Our God has provided in miraculous ways, and His timing is perfect!

August 21st Update

The Partyka’s made it safely to Ohio and were able to meet Charity and the baby today!

In the words of Chris about meeting Charity: It honestly could not have gone better.

Please continue to pray for the legal paperwork that needs to be processed.

Pray for the signing of TPR and that God will continue to grant peace over all.

August 22nd update:

For some reason I was thinking TPR was to be signed today, but it is actually tomorrow.
