First Day of Pre-k 3!
Aug 21, 2012
Little Bug was ready to go!!
I wasn’t emotional at all taking her to preschool. I know she is going to love this and she is definitely not all grown up at 3 years old! She’ll always be my firstborn baby girl.
Little Bug had to be dramatic, of course! She didn’t cry; she just acted like she didn’t want to walk into class even though she has been looking forward to this day for a quite a while! Her teacher, Mrs. S, met her at the door and it didn’t take much for Little Bug to change her mind and decide she did want to go in the classroom.
So, by now, all you loyal readers should know I am quite the germaphobe when it comes to my kids. And I will even be so honest as to say that one big factor in deciding whether or not to send Little Bug or not was whether I wanted to deal with the germs she’d be bringing home. I know, ridiculous.
But, seriously, this preschool is amazing. Forget all the learning experiences and social experiences Little Bug is going to get while in pre-k, I am in love with the fact that it is policy for the kids to wash their hands upon entering the classroom in the mornings, before snack time, after going to the playground and I am sure there are more times they will wash as well!!
I know she will probably get sick from pre-k at some point, but all you can do is try to prevent and this school gets an A+ in that department in my opinion!
Little Bug did ask if I was going to stay with her in her class. I explained she was going to be there with Mrs. S and her new friends and I would be back to pick her up later.
Mrs. S took her to wash her hands and I told her good-bye.
I can’t wait to hear her stories from her first day and I hope she chose to behave her little self today.
