yesterday & today

Oct 26, 2012

I went to post to my blog today and there was in my drafts ready to post. I am behind on writing because of the trip last week and a UTI this week.

Yesterday was not a good day around here, but today is much better!

The day after I’ve been sick is always such a productive day because I get so behind on everything when I am not feeling well and then when I finally start feeling better I just want to get everything back on track.

Today has been my “back on track” day and it has felt so good!

I woke yesterday at 5:30am and knew I had a UTI. Called the doctor’s office when they opened at 8am and was told that they couldn’t take me until the next day at 10am! So I went to Solantic and they fixed me up with an antibiotic and a medicine for the pain and told me by tomorrow (which is today) I would feel much better.

I went to bed last night with a horrible headache and when I woke up this morning I felt wonderful!

I didn’t even shower last night (I NEVER do that!! Never.) so after breakfast and while Little Bug was doing room time and Sweet Pea was napping, I showered and got ready to go grocery shopping, which is not something I normally do.

Dave and Little Bug usually have a date each weekend and go grocery shopping together, but with the trip last week, they didn’t go. We didn’t even have the makings for PB&J today so I knew a trip was in order.

This was the first trip that I allowed Little Bug to walk with me instead of ridding in the cart with Sweet Pea and she did super. She is growing up. I can hardly believe she will be 3.5 next month.

There was one time when we came out of one isle and I turned into the next isle but Little Bug kept walking. I noticed quickly she wasn’t by my side and turned around to see a panicked Little Bug trying to find her Mommy. My eyes never left her, but it was a few seconds before she found me.

Reminded me of the Lord. How often do we panic, but He is right there, with His eyes on us the entire time? That was a good reminder to me that He is always near, always watching.

Can I just say that I love Publix? Shopping truly is a pleasure there! It is clean, organized, the employees are actually present and willing to help you, they bag your groceries and then take them out to your car for you. Such a huge help when shopping with a 3 and 1 year old. We got to my car and I started to help the lady put the groceries in my car and she told me, “I’ll take care of this! You just go buckle them in their seats!”.

Night and day difference from shopping at Wal-Mart. I come home from Wal-Mart and feel like we all need a bath, a nap and I need to re-group to finish out the day.

We are somewhat behind on our Apple activities but the ones we have done this week sure have been a lot of fun. Today we did the Fruit of the Spirit Apples.

I did get around to posting our November activities on the Facebook page yesterday! Am I the only one who feels this year has flown by? November is right around the corner and with November comes Thanksgiving and Christmas – my favorite time of year!

Have a great weekend!
