I wanted to do Elf on the Shelf with my girls this year!

But I didn’t want to do the traditional Elf on the Shelf since we don’t “do Santa”.

So I came up with Elf on the Shelf Nativity Style.

The idea is that our Elf will reveal a piece of the Nativity scene each morning, so that on Christmas Day, the Nativity scene will be complete and be a true picture of what Christmas is all about!

This poem (written by Dave) will introduce our Elf on the Shelf to the girls in the morning:

Hello there! I’m Bob the Elf,

I like to sit here on the shelf.

I’m here to teach you right and true

why Christmas means so much to you.

Each day when you awake at dawn

Come try to find out where I’ve gone.

When you find me yell, “Wahoo!”

Then take the clue I’ve left for you!

And when you have found every clue

The manger, sheep and shepherds too

Then Christmastime you’ll finally know

is not just presents, cider and snow!
