Our Home to Be!

Mar 15, 2013

This house is going to give us the space we need to be able to set up a homeschool room, office and even a playroom, raise our children and grow old together! We look forward to opening our home for entertaining and ministering purposes through the years and we are just so incredibly grateful to the Lord for providing us with this house.

There is some remodeling we will do in the entry way of the house, the kitchen and master bathroom. None of the remodel projects will take place before we move in, but will happen over time and as funds allow.

This house has a formal living and dinning room which we will use as an office and a playroom. This will be the office:

And this will be the playroom. Both of these rooms have beautiful crown molding along the perimeter of the rooms and 12 foot ceilings!

The family room has vaulted ceilings and a fireplace! The family room opens into the kitchen/breakfast nook.

And here is the kitchen with lots of cabinets, counter space and an island! Eventually, but not anytime soon, we’d like to install cherry cabinets and granite counter tops. The floor in the kitchen is a pretty tile.

The breakfast nook has a bay window!

The master bedroom has tray ceilings and two windows that overlook the gorgeous backyard.

The master closet is huge.

The master bathroom is probably the most dated part of the house, but the space has a lot of potential for a beautiful remodel way down the road! The sinks and master closet are in this first room and then beyond that is the garden tub, shower and toilet.

The girls’ bathroom has double sinks! That will be nice when they are teenagers!

This bedroom will be the homeschool room. There are two more rooms similar to this that will be the girls’ bedrooms.

There is a large deck across the back of the house that overlooks the wooded backyard!

The view standing on the deck looking out to the backyard:

I never in a million years expected a backyard like this one! As I said, it reminds me so much of my Grandma and Grandpa’s backyard. There will be many “be still and know that I am God” quiet moments for me in this backyard. And Uncle already has plans to build a fort back there with Little Bug and Sweet Pea, just like all the cousins used to do in my grandparent’s backyard!

There is a creek that runs through the length of the property!

Back view of the house. We will fence in that grassy area with a rod iron fence so Pup can have a space to run freely.

We had two houses to go see that day (February 13th), but after seeing this one, we didn’t even bother to go look at the second one, took this picture in front of the house and headed to the realtor’s office to make an offer!

HOME SWEET HOME!

We hope to close in early April!
