Disney, Take 2
Mar 22, 2013
Ever since Little Bug’s first trip to Disney last year, she has been wanting to go back! Her Grams and Gramps took her to Disney for a day on March 19th and from the pictures you can tell she had a ball!!
We didn’t get to see the Princesses last year so this time it was top priority and they headed there first.
These pictures are so precious to me!
Waving to the Little Mermaid.
They saw the presidents show! I was so happy she got to see this since we had just learned about the presidents. And notice that man. He looks just like Abe Lincoln! He was just waiting in line at Disney for the president’s show!
Waiting for the parade. My childhood friend, Joandy, works at Disney and she not only got my parents and Little Bug in free, but she stayed to be their personal tour guide! My mom said that was SO helpful and they were able to do so much more this time. Little Bug enjoyed having a friend, Morgan (Joandy’s daughter) while at Disney.
I got a text from my mom saying that when the stepsister came around in the parade, Little Bug yelled to her, “You need to be sweet to Cinderella!!!!”
My parents kept Little Bug on her gluten/wheat-free diet, but they did allow her to have one treat: Mickey ice cream!
Grams and Little Bug rode the Aladdin ride.
Gramps and Little Bug on the Walt Disney World railroad.
Minnie Mouse! Disney took an ADORABLE picture of Little Bug and Minnie. I might break down and spend the $15 and buy it.
Dumbo! Does she look like she is having fun?!
She had to try on a hat!
Cinderella’s Castle
Pooh and Tigger were walking to another location and Little Bug spotted them and ran up to give Pooh a hug. They wouldn’t let anyone else hug them.
They saved the carrosel for last incase there wasn’t time, but they were able to do it.
Even with going to bed at 10pm each night, waking at 6:30am out of excitement and then no naps, my parents said Little Bug did fabulous.
Here is Gramps telling her a bedtime story. That night she wanted the Easter story.
Her first time sleeping in a hotel bed! Remember last year, I had to go get a hotel crib because she wouldn’t stay on the air mattress we had brought for her to sleep on. (This was pre-toddler bed at home.) But this year, she slept on the hotel bed. One night she requested that Grams sleep with her and, she did.
She improvised and used a suitcase for her stool so she could reach the sink.
This came out blurry but it is still special. What wonderful memories they made!
Several have asked if I wasn’t sad that I was not there too. I’ve never really been into theme parks (the most exciting thing to me is people watching and you will never catch me on a roller coaster), but I did enjoy Disney with Little Bug last year. But my parents really wanted this special time with just Little Bug so I decided instead of being sad I wasn’t there, I’d give them that time and enjoy my time with just Sweet Pea, which doesn’t happen too often.
And I did.
Up Next: My two days with just my Sweet Pea while Big Sis was at Disney!
