Mommy & Me

While Little Bug was at Disney, I had some great one-on-one time with Sweet Pea!

We got up, ate breakfast and then headed out to run some errands!

First we went to Publix. I realized how much Dave spoils me. I think this was Sweet Pea’s first time sitting in the grocery cart – at 19 months old!! Since Sweet Pea was born Dave and I have just made a grocery list every week and then he and Little Bug go shopping for their weekly “date”.

Sweet Pea wanted to hold everything I was putting in to the cart.

Not long after I took this picture, I saw an employee putting stock on the shelves and I asked him for the empty boxes!! Then I went and asked if I could have some boxes from the next truck that comes in. I set up a time to come back and Dave went and picked about 10 boxes up the next day. Our garage is starting to fill up with empty boxes!

Next, we went to Little Bug’s preschool and dropped off items for her Easter Party. Sweet Pea wanted to play on the playground!

Then we went shopping to find Grams a birthday present. I found this plaque that I think will look great with the collage of family pictures she has on the kitchen wall.

And then we grabbed a bite of lunch before we headed home for a nap!

After nap, and while we waited for Daddy to get home from work, Sweet Pea rode Sister’s tricycle. We went out to the front yard and Sweet Pea ran over to it and asked to ride. I put her on and she figured out how to make it go using her feet!

Once Daddy got home we got some dinner and then went to Home Depot to look at dishwashers.

Even though this picture is blurry, I love it because Sweet Pea was saying, “Out!!!”. As a side note: Sweet Pea is saying more and more words, just like I knew she would in her own time. One of her favorites is “out”!

She got out of the stroller and went to help Daddy look at dishwashers.

The next morning we got up and went in to work with Dave because I needed to sign some papers for the house. Sweet Pea found a water bottle and took it to her Daddy and pointed to her mouth which is something she does to show she wants to eat or drink something!

Dave showed Sweet Pea his Nerf gun. They don’t really work here. They just buy Nerf guns and play all day.

That was a joke. Dave works very hard and I am very proud of his work ethic. This company is a huge blessing to our family.

Sitting in Dave’s office across from his desk is a Craigslist find….

A play kitchen for the girls!!!

I’ve been looking off and on for a kitchen and had actually wanted this very one when I looked at the Toys R Us website. I got on Craigslist one afternoon and this one had been posted within the hour for only $25! It is in perfect condition!

We are going to give it to Little Bug for her 4th birthday so, for now, it is hiding out at Daddy’s office.

And that was my 2 days with just my Sweet Pea. And this is where it is expected that I write that I missed Little Bug so much. But let’s be real, people. For the record, I did miss her-there were moments when I thought how dull life is without LB around-, but you better believe I enjoyed the break from the daily 3-year-old DRAMA, too. Smile
