Tonight I am officially over this moving process!!!!!!!!

We are nearly finished with the unpacking/organizing but, tonight, I am just bone dead tired. Perhaps we were dumb to try and get this all done in five days, working non-stop from the time we woke up til the time we went to bed. But, I am glad we had the option to do it this way and chose to go for it. But, I am SO TIRED and ready to be DONE!

What has sent me over the edge tonight is that after a full day of working which included unpacking and organizing the garage and laundry room and then going over to the old house to clean and patch up picture holes and repaint over those spots, we just got back to the new house and I was getting things out of the car and found half a can of purple paint spilled on the back floor board of the car!!

I just said, “You have GOT to be kidding me” and walked away. My knight in shinning armor immediately overtook this unplanned project of the evening and went to Google to find out how to get paint out of the floor board of a car. It wasn’t long and he was out the door saying he had an idea about how to clean this mess up.

And I came to sit and write for a bit because I think if I walk anymore my legs are going to fall off.

Tonight we had planned to get the pictures hung in our bedroom before calling it a night. The paint can I guess is nixing those plans.

So what is left to do?

• hang pictures/decor in the master bathroom/bedroom, hallway, playroom, office & homeschool room
• unpack and organize the linen closet/hall closet
• organize the playroom
• unpack and organize the office (that probably won’t happen until the weekend because we have to get the bookcases that are going in there from Dave’s work office)
• unpack and organize the homeschool room
• finish getting the rental ready for the tenants that move in May 1

Tomorrow is our last full day of work before normal life resumes. I am so ready for normal life to resume. We packed our first box to move one month and one day ago! So it’s been a month of packing, moving boxes & stuff, unpacking and organizing. And I am tired!!!

We are nearly to the end of this moving process! WOO HOO!
