A Normal Day
Apr 25, 2013
Well, normal life has resumed!
April has been one whirlwind of a month for us! April 1st I told myself life was going to be getting a bit crazy, but I already knew it wouldn’t stay crazy for long and I knew, because of my parents’ help with the girls and the help from our family and friends moving things in and fixing the house up, our crazy really wouldn’t be as crazy as it could have been.
And I was right.
Dave and I both looked at each other at the old house last night at 11:30pm – a shattered ceiling fan between us that had fallen to the floor in an attempt to install it – and said, “WE WILL NEVER MOVE AGAIN!”
Good thing we bought this house to be our forever home!
The girls are home and we had our first semi-normal day at the new house together. I know we are going to love it here. I already love it here and when I think about what I imagined our new house to be when we first started looking for a new house back in December, this house far surpasses what I thought it would be. There is room for us to grow here, I have a beautiful space to school my daughters and they have plenty of space to run free and be kids out in the backyard. I look forward to spending the rest of my days on this earth living in this house that is quickly becoming home.
A couple of pictures of our first morning at home:
Unlike her big sis, Sweet Pea smiles and says “Cheese” every time I take the camera out. This was our first lunch together.
It’s funny how my girls know their routines even in a new environment. After lunch, I put Sweet Pea down for her nap and Little Bug, without me saying anything, got up from the table and went to the homeschool room because she wanted to do Learning Time. (We normally do LT after I get Sweet Pea down for her nap.) Learning Time has been the furthest thing from my mind during this move, so I had to scrounge around for something to do and found some animal stamps. Little Bug was pleased and we talked about animals and stamped for the next 15 minutes.
Then we moved on to do the Resurrection Eggs. Is that desk not cute?! It used to be Grace’s until her room was recently redone and she did not need the desk anymore. It is a perfect fit for our homeschool room. Little Bug insisted she HAD to sit at the desk to do the Resurrection Eggs.
And then we went outside to play for a bit before it was time for Little Bug to lay down and take her nap. The nap of which she was ADAMENT that she was NOT tired for, but yet has been sleeping 2 hours for anyway and will probably sleep another 30 minutes. Good thing Mama is the one who determines whether a nap is needed or not.

It’s such a relief to have this move BEHIND US!!

I will be posting one more post about some final thoughts I have concerning our moving process. I also plan to post a few pictures of our home. And then I will be posting about some changes that are going to take place at God’s Faithfulness Through Infertility beginning in May. It’s changes I’ve wanted to make for a long time and the time has just come now for me to make these changes.
