The Measured Mom teaches the ABCs out of order beginning with the easiest letter to write. Her curriculum starts with the Letter Ee so that was Sweet Pea’s first letter of the week.

Every day we read a book with an “E” theme. Sweet Pea glued eggs onto her Letter E. She did her E is for Elephant Dot Sticker page and we made the Letter Ee with play dough. I showed Sweet Pea our globe and pointed out that there is land (green) and water (blue). Then for her craft this week she painted a lowercase letter e blue and green.

The rest of our E activities were actually all activities I had done with Little Bug. We sorted Easter Eggs by color. She caught on quickly to this. We went through our Resurrection Eggs, which tell the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. We had an Easter Egg hunt indoors because it was so cold outside.

Our first week of ABC School went well! That Sunday when Dave and Little Bug headed out for their weekly grocery store date, Sweet Pea ran up to me, grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards the homeschool room while saying, “I want to do school!”. So we went in there and did some puzzles and games and she was satisfied with that!

Next week’s letter is F!
