ABC School with Sweet Pea {Letter Hh}

Apr 03, 2014

The week of March 10-14th, Sweet Pea’s letter of the week was Letter Hh! We read books all about hats and hippos and Hop on Pop by Dr. Suess.

Sweet Pea put hearts all over her Letter H and she did her H is for house Dot Sticker page.

Our craft this week was to make a Handprint Fish! The girls painted a fish bowl that I had cut out blue. Then we painted their hands orange to make the fish. They glued googly eyes onto their fish and then glued beans down at the bottom of the fish bowl for “rocks”.

Sweet Pea LOVED her Hippo Color Match printable. Once I showed her what to do she did this without any assistance from me except for the colors black and brown. And when she was finished she said, “Again!!!!” and she did it again and then a third time. And she learned black and brown!

Our math activity was a Number Match. I drew hearts on a white piece of paper with the numbers 1-10 for Sweet Pea and the numbers 11-20 for Little Bug. Then I hid pink (for Little Bug) and purple (for Sweet Pea) hearts all over the living room. They had to look for their color heart and then match it to their paper!

I discovered these Letter Books from The Measured Mom this week and both girls LOVED the Little Letter H Book! These little books are free printables on her website that you print, cut, fold and then they are ready to be read…over and over and over again! There are rhymes, poems and songs for each letter of the alphabet. They are the perfect addition to Sweet Pea’s ABC School!
