ABC School with Sweet Pea {Letter Ii}
Apr 08, 2014
We always start our week by doing our ABC Book page. This week Sweet Pea put insect stickers on her Letter L. Little Bug wanted to do this with us so she does the lowercase letters! Then Sweet Pea did her I is for igloo dot sticker page.
We read My “I” Book. Both of my girls love these books. I don’t have the complete set. I just have about 5 or 6 of the letters that I found at a consignment shop. I wish I had the complete set! We also enjoyed reading Inside Outside Upside Down. And then every day we read the poems and sang the songs in The Measured Mom’s Little Letter I Book.
Sweet Pea did Inchworm Counting. She counted the inchworms and then placed the correct number in the square. She needed assistance with this but she enjoys counting and can pretty much count from 1-20! She skips over a few of the teen numbers.
Our craft this week was to make an iguana out of foam paper. The body of the iguana was the Letter I!
Both girls LOVED our Icy Insects Sensory Bin! I just threw in our plastics insects, measuring cups, measuring spoons and other various (safe) kitchen tools. I put everything in the last bin of Sweet Pea’s workboxes and then the day we played with this I added water and two insects that I had frozen in tupperware containers! They loved trying to free their insect from the block of ice. It was fun to sit back and watch them try to melt the ice to get the insect out. Little Bug eventually resorted to tossing her block of ice onto the deck to break it! It worked!
Next week is Letter Ll!
