Sweet Pea’s Letter of the Week was Letter Yy! She put yarn on her Letter Y. We read two fun books: Yes We Can! and Yes Day. We enjoyed The Little Letter Y Book (not pictured).

I remember doing this with Little Bug during her Y Week when she was two and it was so much fun. It was the same with Sweet Pea. We went on a “Yellow Scavenger Hunt” and Sweet Pea found all the yellow play food and put it on the table. She was so animated and excited as she found each piece of yellow food! Then I gave her a challenge and told her to close her eyes. I placed an orange among the yellow foods and asked her to open her eyes and tell me which food did not belong. She quickly pointed to the orange and then I asked her why it did not belong. She said, “Because it is orange.”

Next up is Letter Aa! That is always a fun letter!
