August has been a whirlwind of a month for us and it’s the reason I am writing now.

We are in the middle of an adoption situation right now and we are just……waiting.

It’s a pretty complicated story and from the world’s standpoint it looks pretty grim that we will end up with this baby.

If we do end up adopting this baby, it will truly be nothing short of a miracle. I’ve seen Him do two miracles and if this is our child, He will do a third.

We have made our desires known to this mother that we would love nothing more than to adopt her baby and now we are just waiting to see what God’s Plan is.

From the beginning of this, God gave me this verse, “The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14.” As I pray for this situation, that is what I pray.

We can’t fight this battle. It is totally out of our power but we know if God’s plan is to place this baby in our family, nothing will stop Him.

Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21)

Dave and I are at peace, either way. This is the Lord’s battle. We are merely standing on the sidelines, waiting to see what happens.

Would you please pray with us?

Pray for a clear mind as this mother chooses where to place her baby. Pray her decision would not be motivated out of greed or money. Pray for the Lord’s intervention in the life of an innocent child. Pray God gives this baby the opportunity to grow up in a family with a mother and a father who will bring this child up to know and love the Lord.
