Here is my every couple of months check in. Summer is in full swing here! The month of June flew by with vacation, friends visiting and family coming in to town. Little Bug is six and has informed us she is ready to be an adult. Sweet Pea has been going through 3-year-old stuff (if you’ve ever had a 3 year old, you know exactly what I mean) although her 3-year-old stuff has been nothing like her sister’s. And little Sarge is almost a year old. It’s crazy to think last year we were having one of the best summers we’ve ever had, not knowing miracle #3 was on our horizon.

I feel like we have finally settled into a routine with three children. From the time my feet hit the floor in the morning until everyone is in rest/naptime, I don’t stop moving! It is busy, busy, busy around here. I don’t know what I would do without structure and a routine!

Most of Sarge’s medical issues are behind us now and we are able to function normally. I’ve found a new laundry system that is working well to keep Mt Everest laundry piles at bay! Monday is adult laundry and towels; Friday is kid laundry and every other Wednesday is sheets and anything else that needs washing. When I finally fell into this pattern, it was a huge relief.

I truly look forward to the flood gates opening here so I can freely write again. Until then I will pop in from time to time.

Our first vacation to the mountains as a family of five
